October report

Well times continues to fly. The world around is quickly changing from fall to winter. It is amazing to see how God has set up our world, and all the beauty that unfolds right before us. We had the very first snow of the season yesterday. It snowed pretty hard for about 20 minutes, but it all melted right away so we are still waiting for the real snow to come.
Tami and the kids are doing well, and Tami sends her greetings. The kids continue to grow faster than it seems possible. Tami, Noah and Ben, have been going to a Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers bible study and Noah has been having a great time interacting with others his age.
Since I wrote last, we have had our annual Fall Retreat. The weather was terrible, it poured rain, and I mean it poured rain for the entire weekend. There was no going outside at all. After the weekend was over it was great because as we were talking to one another and it struck me how everyone thought the exact same thing, we all thought that the rain was a blessing because it forced us to be in-doors and fellowshipping with one another. There was no escaping, and it was the best thing for us as a church family. The guest speaker was Bruce Tetruea, from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He did a wonderful job and helped to focus and encourage us. So the weekend was a great success.
Last night was the Food Bank, and again there were quite a few people, maybe not as many because of the cold, but still lots of people that are in need. With the winter coming it will only increase. There just seem to be so many people that are in need. Please keep this in your prayers. One thing that I find to be of great blessing to me is to pray for people as I am packing there food, not only that the food will be of great use to them, but also that they will know that this ultimately comes from God, and that he is the only way to truly be fed.
In the coming weeks Tami and I are starting a kid’s church for the younger kids in the congregation, we will be doing this during the class time that comes after the church service. There have been quite a few people that have helped in this area over the years, and all of them have done a wonderful job. This will be the first time that we attempt to have all the kids together though, instead of breaking them up into smaller groups. I think it will be a great experience for everyone, and should be fun. It has been awhile since I taught little kids classes, but there is nothing like seeing the truth of God's word being learned by His little children. Along those same lines we are planning to have Pioneers clubs again this year, so we will be having plenty of kids coming into the building to learn about God. That program is just an awesome way to let kids learn in a safe place. So please pray for its success. Teachers and students are needed to make it as good as it should be.

God is Good, and I know that each and every morning that I wake up is the start of a new day in which I can bring praise to his name through all that I do, and think and say. Isn't it amazing how much our Lord loves us, and how much he pours his blessings upon us. I know that I feel blessed, and I want to thank everyone that helps to give me the support that it takes to do the work here in Dauphin. So thank you for all that you do, prayers, thoughts, cards, financial contributions, emails. I know I am surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. So again, thank you for all that you do.
