Well, Tami and I have been quite busy over the last month; learning all over again what it takes to raise a baby. This time however there is also a two year old. Both boys are amazing and a true blessing from God. I thank God each day for how amazing they are. This week we had an unexpected visit, relatives from Norway. This was a nice treat for us. They stayed for a couple of days and that allowed us to show them Dauphin and area. It made me realize that even though I have lived here for 10 years I still have not seen it all. There is always something new to see and to learn. How wonderful is all that He has created for us to see.
This past weekend we as a church family, had the opportunity to volunteer at a festival that features country music, called CountryFest. The town of Dauphin doubles in size for the long weekend. This gives the church a chance to be a presence at the festival, so that we can spend time in prayer for others as well as shining the light of Christ.
I am getting very excited about the kids camps that will be starting in the coming days. We have a truly awesome opportunity to witness to many different kids through out the summer. There has been a lot of work that has gone into this and we are thankful to all the people that have helped to support this, either with prayers which are most important, as well as those that have helped with time, talents, or treasures. The kids that come to camp need your prayers, they need to know that there are people that care about them, and that there is a God that loves them. So please pray that these camps will run smoothly and that all the Christian teachers will be able to say and do whatever God needs them to do to help these kids.
For sometime now a group of young girls have been coming to Church who have no Church background, but are searching for something in their lives. They attend Sunday meetings, as well as other meetings. They have really taken to one of our ladies and it is very powerful to see the connection that they are forming. We continue to pray that as they study and learn that they will turn their lives over to God and that they will be baptized into his family. We would also ask that you add them to your prayer list as well.
As the summer gets into full swing we have also started our planning for our annual fall retreat. This is our time to get away from the clutter of the city just spending time all day long praising God with our Church family. It is amazing to me how much closer we become when we do this, being able to move beyond the things that seem to keep us busy all week, and really focus on that which is actually important, GOD...
I have included another picture of the boys, Noah and Ben. They are just so precious.
Thanks for all of the support that you give, and may all that we do bring praise to His name.
